How to plan Wedding Photography
Your wedding day is very important and everything must be planned and prepared carefully in order to have nice wedding photography.
Here are a few thoughts how to plan for your wedding photography.
1. Sit down and discuss with your partner
what exactly you would like to get out of the photography in your big day. You need to consider your budget. Do you have an idea of place for your wedding photography? In most cases photographs are taken in the church or city hall, then group shots and photos of just both of you in a park followed by reception. You should also have a back up plan in case the weather is not very nice. Most photographers stay usually until cutting cake if is not specified otherwise.
2. Find and choose a photographer.
On the Internet there are loads of photographers. Just try to type “wedding photographer” in the Google search engine and immediately you will see hundreds of links. Browse the gallery and prices of individual photographers and compare. Do not go for the first wedding photographer you come across. The highest price does not always mean its the best quality. Choose a few photographers whose wedding photography you like and contact them. Ask them for information you need. Things that you should ask about should include the availability of the photographer, methods of payment, deposit, deadline for the package you ordered. Wait for answers and select a photographer that offers the best services suitable for you.
3.Meet the photographer
Arrange a meeting with the photographer. At this meeting you will have the opportunity to ask a lot of things. Most photographers will bring along some examples of their work as photo albums, photos, DVDs etc. At this meeting you can discuss the details and expectations for your wedding photography. If you have any ideas, feel free to ask the photographer.
A wedding day is a unique day and there is not much time for photography. So prepare a list of photos that you would like (especially list of group photos). This will give you more time for time with your closest. Prepare the plan for the photographer with all important information like times, places, reception, etc. The photographer should also see photos of your close family. You do not want to miss someone important on your wedding photographs, right?
